I have been the proud mother of a tempermental little (7.4lbs) daschund for almost 4 years. His name is Wiggles and he’s a bit bipolar.

But, we love him anyway! He’s a survivor! I adopted him from the shelter when I was living in Fayetteville after Hurricane Katrina. We then lived in New Orleans and we’re back in Fayetteville. Wiggles is bisexual as well as bipolar. He gives love on his terms. He was hit by a big black truck in the fall of 2006. His pelvis had to be reconstructed. In the winter of 2007, he had risidual injuries to his kidneys and bladder, he had 2/3 of his bladder removed, he does really well considering but he does sometimes wear a diaper.
His first roommate was Grayson, Sara’s cat.

Wigg and Gray
He is a wonderful little friend who likes to walk halfway around Wilson Park and then plop down, be carried around the farmer’s market in the summer. He loves to sleep in the bed and burrows down to the bottom. If I don’t allow him to sleep with me, he goes under the bed and gets into a bra basket. It suits him. He does not like to swim but, hilariously, if you hold him over the water he starts to paddle.

He can fly!

He does NOT like to swim...
He gets a lot of hot dog comparisons…
